Grilled cheese sandwiches are a family favorite. I love to save time in the kitchen, so through trial and error, I discovered how to make grilled cheese in the oven. This was I can make several sandwiches at the same time. They come out cheesy and toasty every single time.
Follow along to see how to make grilled cheese in the oven, and try these with your family.
Ingredients
You only need a few simple ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen.
- Sliced Bread
- Butter
- Cheese
- baking sheet (These are my favorite that I use in my kitchen)
Assemble and Bake the Grilled Cheese
You can make as many grilled cheese sandwiches as your baking sheet will hold. Start out by buttering one side of your bread. Place the buttered side down. Top with cheese and another slice of bread buttered on top.
I used cheddar cheese but you can also mix it up by trying different cheese combinations for different flavors. It would also be really good to make a grilled ham and cheese.
Pre-heat your oven to 450 degree, bake for 8-10 minutes, flip and bake the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes.
Remove baking sheet from the oven and slice in triangles.
I love to serve the grilled cheese oven sandwiches along with some home made soup.
